Навчальна дисципліна «Судовий переклад» (Court Interpreting and Translation) є
ключовим складником підготовки бакалаврів за програмою «Юридичний переклад», що має
на меті формування базових практичних навичок перекладу в юридичній сфері. Курс
знайомить студентів із основами судоустрою, процесуальною термінологією та етичними
принципами роботи перекладача в суді. Основна увага приділяється методиці письмового
перекладу стандартних судових документів (повісток, рішень, заяв) та початковому
тренінгу з усного послідовного перекладу. Студенти навчаються працювати зі
спеціалізованими словниками, створювати власні глосарії та дотримуватися вимог
точності й нейтральності під час супроводу судових справ, що закладає фундамент для
подальшої професійної діяльності в юридичному секторі.

Abstract
The "Court Interpreting and Translation" course is a specialized component of the Bachelor’s
degree program, aimed at developing fundamental practical translation skills within the legal field.
This curriculum introduces students to the basics of the judicial system, procedural terminology,
and the ethical principles governing court interpreters. Primary focus is placed on the methodology
of translating standard judicial documents (summonses, court orders, applications) and
introductory training in oral consecutive interpreting. Students learn to navigate specialized
dictionaries, compile glossaries, and adhere to the requirements of accuracy and impartiality,
providing a solid foundation for their future professional careers in the legal sector.
